The Scotts Valley Farmers’ Market is temporarily CLOSED due to local fires

We’re excited to welcome you back! The 2020 season will look different as we pare down to our fundamental functions – supplying residents with healthy, nutritious fruits, vegetables, eggs and meats from regional farms and artisanal meals and staple foods from local businesses. We will not be hosting special events but we will be bringing 100% of our spirit and love for community out to the market every week. Please learn about our detailed response to the COVID-19 pandemic HERE.

The Market

Started in 2009 with the City of Scotts Valley, the market hosts over 30 farmers and specialty food purveyors every Saturday, 9am-1pm. This local market is the place for the the Scotts Valley community to get their fill of fresh, healthy, locally grown fruits and vegetables, pasture-raised eggs and meats and local and sustainably caught seafood. In addition find ready-to-eat cuisine, baked goods and a full coffee and espresso bar. The market provides unlimited free parking and is located next to Sky Park and across from the Scotts Valley Public Library.

EBT & Market Match

Market Match offers farmers’ market customers a dollar-for-dollar match up to $10 on their CalFresh/EBT (food stamp) cards at the Scotts Valley Farmers’ Market. If a customer swipes their CalFresh card for seven dollars, they get an additional seven dollars in Market Match tokens for free. Swipe $10, you get $10. The goal of this project is to encourage CalFresh/EBT recipients to take advantage of fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables. By offering an incentive that lowers the price of fresh produce, we are helping shoppers stretch their food dollars while keeping their families healthy. SCCFM will be offering the Market Match program for the 2020 season. Locate the information booth and the market manager to redeem EBT coins and to participate in the Market Match Program.
